Q:

Do you think being vegan makes a difference?

A:

Being vegan is, for me, is more than just the no use of animal products. It's about evolution. We live in an age where today's technology and science were the sience fiction themes of movies and novels only 20 or 30 years ago.

While food of course shouldn't be something grown in a lab, we do possess all the possibilities to thrive on a 100% plant-based diet. So why not do it? In my experience, it's often just ignorance. People don't want all the suffering and cruelty. The problem is that in the general opinion, the cruelty and suffering are the exception.

People respond to impulses in various ways. While I'm not the right person to fight on the barricades, these more "aggressive" methods and actions need to exist. A lot of people respond to them.

I myself, let people come to me. When someone has a question, I will answer. I will explain why and why not.
People find themselves to be interested, often to their own surprise, and want to try things out on their own.
In my local supermarket, the meat section gets smaller and smaller, pushed aside by the ever growing vegan/veggie section.
I hope that future generations get taught in school that "man used to eat animals".
Throw a pebble in a pond and see the effect.

So yes, I do think being vegan makes a difference.
